Your Ad Tracker is starting another section on our Blog. We will call it ‘Marketing Help‘. One thing I have noticed consistently is the large number of members that seem to have trouble driving traffic to their sites. Advertising is used to generate interest and traffic to your sales page, site, blog or whatever it is that you are trying to promote.

I personally check every new account and every member that cancels. It’s very easy to understand the number one reason people cancel their memberships. We are in the middle of a survey right now but I don’t have to go out on a limb to know the biggest reason…

Reason #1 “I’m not making money”! It is not uncommon for me to see dozens of tracking links setup with no clicks. Many members have zero clicks on every single tracking link they setup. The members that have thousands of clicks to their tracking links may or may not be making money with their ads but they are generating traffic. We need quality traffic and sales.

Reason #2 The number two reason members cancel is they do not have the funds in their PayPal account to cover the monthly membership fee. This, of course, is the same as the number one reason of no money. No traffic = no money. Depending on when they joined their monthly membership fee is only $3.25 to $3.95/month. We receive dozens of notices every month from PayPal informing us that a payment subscription failed due to a lack of funds. This speaks volumes when that many members don’t have four dollars a month. They need our help. Perhaps you do too.

Lesson Number One: Let this be the first lesson. One of the biggest roles of marketing, and the most ignored by new marketers, is customer retention. It is vitally important to keep paying customers. Your customers have already shown they are interested and willing to spend money on your product. That’s what we spend all of our time searching for so why not keep those that we get by making them happy. That is exactly why our Blog exists. Since a lack of marketing skill is a consistent reason of cancelling and that effects our bottom line we are going proactive by helping You Make Money!
