Q: What is better – cloaked or not cloaked?

A: I recommend you only cloak when necessary to protect an affiliate link. Cloaking can cause problems with certain scripts and it’s better to only use when necessary. See ‘Cloaked Tracker Fails On Affiliate Site‘.

If you are using an affiliate link and worry about the site visitor stripping off the affiliate portion of your link (affiliate thieves) I would then cloak the link. See ‘Affiliate Marketing Is A Waste Of Time Without This!‘.
