Can I Get a Refund?
Written by Brian D. Hawkins from http://hotblogtips.com/ on August 24th, 2008 | 0 CommentsA: The short answer is no, we don’t normally offer refunds. We do offer a thirty day free trial. That should be sufficient time to see if the membership is something you want to keep. I realize it may be a pain to login into PayPal and cancel your membership before the free trial ends but that’s the only way we can make it work.
I’m going to do something here that very few sites are willing to do. I’m going to show you exactly what we make from your membership fee in the form of profit…
$3.95 USD If you pay us:
-$0.45 USD Then the PayPal fee
$3.50 USD We now have
-$2.00 USD Less the referral fee (Direct or random)
$1.50 USD All that’s left.
So we make a dollar and fifty cents a month from you. Even less if you pay annually. That’s before our other expenses such as server fees, programming fees, advertising, promotions and other costs. We are not out to get as much money as we can from our members. We want a high quality and clean membership site for our members that earns a modest profit so we can upgrade when necessary. We could charge more for our service, many sites do, we just want to be fair.
When we refund someone’s membership fee, we take a loss because we don’t charge back the referring member’s referral fee. That’s why the only two lines that are in BOLD in our Terms (TOS) are:
Please don’t ask us to refund your payment because you ‘forgot’ to cancel.
No refunds will be issued due to member’s failure to cancel the appropriate payment.
If you have a legitimate complaint please feel free to request the refund. We look at these requests on a case by case basis and if we believe we made an error we will refund your money and apologize. You forgetting to cancel is NOT a legitimate reason.
